 Deninu Kųę́ First Nation Shares Results from 2021 Acoustic Bird Survey

 Dec 15, 2022 – Deninu Kųę́First Nation (DKFN) with the National Audubon Society, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – NWT Chapter (CPAWS-NWT), and Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) are excited to report on results from DKFN’s summer 2021 passive acoustic monitoring survey for birds within the Slave River Delta with the use of automated recording units (ARUs).

December 8, 2022 – Indigenous and federal governments commit to advancing a new Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area in NWT: Deninu Kue First Nation with the Fort Resolution Métis Government and Environment and Climate Change Canada sign a Contribution Agreement, for the Consideration of an Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area (IPCA) near Ft. Resolution.
